Accepting Jesus Into Your Life!
The greatest decision that can ever be made is establishing a relationship with our creator! I am inviting you to begin one today. It is a decision that you will not regret. This new life with God will not only bring comfort and peace in your life but will transform you into a new person! Accepting Jesus into your life is just the beginning of finding true life!
A relationship with God begins with accepting Jesus as Lord of your life. The Bible says “For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.” Romans 3:23 (NLT) As a result, we not only deserve punishment but also to perish. “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23 (NLT) Consequently, there is nothing that we can do on our own to attain salvation. “Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.” Ephesians 2:9 (NLT)
Accepting Jesus is Good News!
The Bible goes on to tell us that “If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9 (NLT) Because Jesus paid the price for our sins by dying in our place, He took them on Himself so that we will have salvation from the curse of sin! When Jesus rose from the dead three days later, death is defeated and we have the gift of eternal life with God!
Accepting Jesus into your life is freeing and transformative! Not only will we live in the grace of a forgiving heavenly Father, but we have an advocate by our side! The Holy Spirit will continue to work each day to lead and guide us. We don’t have to face life by ourselves! God wants to handle our circumstances, but we must commit ourselves to a relationship with Him!
Today, would you take a few moments and repent of your sin? The Bible says: “But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.” 1 John 1:9 (NLT) Also, “If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9 (NLT)
Prayer to Accept Jesus in Your Life
Would you commit to prayer such as “Lord Jesus, I ask You to please forgive me of my sins and cleanse me of the wrong that I have committed against you. I declare that I believe that You died on the cross for me and rose from the grave three days later. I can never thank You enough for paying my sin debt so that I could be free. Thank you for hearing my prayer and for your unconditional love for me. I am ready to hand my life over to You and to walk in Your strength and power. I commit to putting you at the center, purpose, and meaning in my life. You are my Lord and Savior and I will serve you the rest of my life! In Jesus’s name, I pray. Amen.”
Today, if you prayed this prayer, congratulations on your new life in Christ! Please leave a comment and let me know of your commitment! I am praying for your life to experience a refreshing peace as you trust in Him!
Blessings,
