The Word of God teaches us that our worship belongs to God alone. It is the spiritual connection we have with our Father. It is not to be shared with anything or anyone else in this world. We must worship God alone!

In this day and age, the world is inundated with opportunities to promote self. TIkTok, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram are full of pictures and videos about peoples lives. You may even find out more than you want to know about people! Everyone wants to be a celebrity!

The root of the celebrity syndrome we have in the world is a symptom of our disconnect from the creator. When we disconnect from God we will seek affirmation from anyone or anywhere we can get it. Current culture makes it feel natural.

Throughout scripture the Jewish people lost touch with God often. They went through cycles of commitment and disconnect. God said, “I myself will be the shepherd of my sheep, and I myself will make them lie down, declares the Lord God. I will seek the lost, and I will bring back the strayed, and I will bind up the injured, and I will strengthen the weak, and the fat and the strong I will destroy. I will feed them in justice.” Ezekiel 34:15–16 (ESV)

Jesus will lead us to the Father!

Jesus even promised that he would lay down his life for his sheep. He is the way we will have a relationship with God. He alone offers the affirmation we need in our lives Jesus basic says, “He Chooses You!”

Jesus also laid His life down for those who are yet to be saved and believe in him! Additionally, Jesus revealed that He would be a savior to those outside the Jewish people. He said “And I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them also, and they will listen to my voice. So there will be one flock, one shepherd. For this reason the Father loves me, because I lay down my life that I may take it up again.” John 10:16–17 (ESV)

Jesus had come to be your good shepherd and desires to lead us into a relationship with God. When the world is obsessed with celebrities or to become famous, we can be assured that Jesus knows us! He was willing to give His life for us!

Focus your worship on God alone!

It begins with Christ!

If you don’t know Christ as your savior, it all begins with the first step. Committing your life to serve Him is the greatest decision you will make in your life! For more information on serving the Lord: CLICK HERE!
