Gratitude and Trust: Acknowledging God’s Listening Ear in Prayer

Scripture:
“I love the Lord because he has heard my voice and my pleas (prayer) for mercy. Because he inclined his ear to me, therefore I will call on him as long as I live.” — Psalm 116:1-2 (ESV)

Reflection:
It’s comforting to know that God hears my cries when I’m in distress. He is not distant or indifferent but actively listens to my prayers. He has been faithful in hearing me in the past, and I can have confidence that He will continue to listen to my prayers. His love for me compels Him to lean in and respond to my needs.

Action Step:
I will take a moment today to thank God for the times He has heard and answered my prayers. I will bring any current struggles to Him, confident that He is listening and will respond in His love.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for being a God who listens. I am so grateful that You incline Your ear to me and hear my cries for help. I come before You today with the assurance that You care about my needs, and I lay my burdens at Your feet. Help me trust in Your response, knowing You will provide it perfectly. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
