Faith That Breathes | James 2:26

James closes chapter two with a vivid picture of what faith without action looks like: “For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, so also faith apart from works is dead.” (James 2:26). Just as a lifeless body cannot function, faith that does not act is motionless and powerless. It may appear real on the surface, but without obedience and love, it has no spiritual life.

James is not talking about earning salvation but about the evidence of it. True faith is alive because it is filled with the Spirit of God, producing good works that reflect His character.
