There is an inspirational inscription in Harold Church located in Staunton, England, that reads like this:
In the year 1653 when all things Sacred were throughout ye nation, Either demolisht or profaned, Sir Robert Shirley, Baronet, Founded this church; Whose singular praise it is, to have done the best things in ye worst times, and hoped them in the most callamitous. The righteous shall be had in everlasting remembrance.
When the church was facing insurmountable persecution and trial for its faith and moral standards, the church committed to doing the best things in the worst of conditions. May, the church of today put all of their efforts into doing the best things, centered around honoring God with all that we are and do. He alone is worthy of every effort we give to glorify Him!!
