A Prayer of Faith in Times of Trouble ~ Psalms 138.7-8

Going through a constant barrage of troubles and difficulties in this life can lead to overwhelming feelings. Fears, anxieties, and discouragements can cause us to wonder where God is at. Yet, the Psalmist gives some insight into the prayer of faith when we feel alone.

Scripture:

Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you preserve my life; you stretch out your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and your right hand delivers me. The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me; your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever. Do not forsake the work of your hands.

Psalm 138:7–8 (ESV)

The good news is…even though we go through trials and difficulties, we are never abandoned. When we pray in faith that God hears and answers prayer, it reminds us that God is available for us to call on. He draws close to those who desperately need him!

While he may not release us from the circumstances we face, he is always working on a plan for our good and his glory. Trusting him through the process may be difficult, but is necessary to mature in our faith in him!

Today may be the day that you honestly share your heart with God. Not only do you release your needs to God, but you will find the assurance you need that he has not abandoned you. I can assure you, he is still working on your behalf!

Pray that God will reveal his presence and will for your life today. As you do, he will show himself to you during your trouble!

Prayer

God reveal yourself to us today. Show us that you are working in our lives and through the circumstances we face. May you get the glory from us for all that you are doing and going to do in our lives!
