What an incredible night at Miami First Assembly of God for our new Light for the Lost Banquet Tour! We had a full house in spite of the weather and watched people extend their faith for 2020!
Light for the lost mission statement: Light for the Lost provides evangelistic resources for missionaries and missionary partners through five platforms: print, audio, video, Internet, and technologies.
Weather
Weather was undoubtedly uncooperative as temperatures were in the mid-30s with either a light mist or a heavy rain coming down. Standing under the awning at the doors, I was amazed at the commitment of so many in section 1 who made the journey for the evening’s event. It was powerful to watch as cars, trucks, and church vans began to fill the parking lot, people made their way inside the doors.
Our steak team, led by Mike Cooper from Woodlake Assembly battled the weather to cook some great steaks! I always appreciate their hard work in any weather conditions to make sure that our banquet is made possible. They are certainly a blessing!
Full house
Watching the cook team and the many people who were coming through the doors, I was so grateful! Occasionally, I would sneak inside through the foyer to look through the doors to see how we were doing on seating. I must admit that as we were getting closer, and closer to time to start, I was a little concerned as to whether or not we would have the room! Yet, by the time they were seated, my fears subsided.
I am thankful for Pastor Raymond Frizzelle and Daryl Lee for all of their work in encouraging the section to be at the banquet. Their hard work paid off with over 200 people in attendance! Not only that, but we raised around $50,000 for light for the lost in this rural section!

This time I do have pictures!
Faith Extended
It’s always interesting to me to watch small churches have big dreams when it comes to missions. These missions-minded pastors and churches make incredible efforts and extend their faith in surprising ways. They believe that God can do big things if they will have faith and trust. I was greatly encouraged as we are just over halfway done with our tour. With five more tour stops left to go, I’m excited about what God is doing across our state. The best is undoubtedly yet to come!
Prayer points revisited:
Would you make it a point to put us on your prayer list–that God would place in our hearts a vision and plan moving forward?
Also, would you pray that God would place upon the hearts of pastors and churches the vision of providing our Oklahoma missionaries with the tools that they need to be effective on the field?
We appreciate your prayer partnership with us. It is our privilege and honor to serve the churches in the state of Oklahoma and our mission efforts around the world. God is up to big things!
May God bless pastors and churches who have extended their faith to believe that God could use them to make an impact around the world!
