Believers have an incredible deep rooted bond that isn’t found anywhere else in the world. It is intertwined in an unmovable and unchangable foundtaion that will keep it strong regardless of what happens in the world. Believers are rooted together through the common relationship with Jesus Christ!

The huge redwood trees in California are considered the largest things on earth and the tallest trees in the world. Some of them are three hundred feet high and over 2,500 years old. One would think that trees so large would have a tremendous root system reaching down hundreds of feet into the earth.

The redwoods actually have a very shallow system of roots, but they all intertwine. They are locked to each other. When the storms come or the winds blow, the redwoods stand. They are locked to each other, and they don’t stand alone, for all the trees support and protect each other.

Scripture

I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me

John 17:23 (ESV)

When Jesus prayed the words above, He was praying for present and future followers of Him. It would be a prayer answered everytime the world looked at the church to judge the character of their faith. Believers working together as one in a deep and undetered love for one another and the God that they serve.

May we exhibit that kind of love as we fulfill the mission of Jesus Christ. Rooted together in the love that the Father had in sending His son as a substitute sacrifice for us. When we experience the love of the Father, we are not only transformed but we will share it with others around us.

It begins with Christ!

If you don’t know Christ as your savior, it all begins with the first step. Committing your life to serve Him is the greatest decision you will make in your life! For more information on serving the Lord: CLICK HERE!
