The Bible gives us the essential elements of what it means to live life to the fullest. Thankfully, God outlined what it means to live in such a way that we experience His blessing and provision for our lives. As a result of following His precepts, we are assured a long blessed life!

It is easy for us to think that life is all about ourselves. The pursuit of our passions and desires without a focus on our creator’s purpose can lead us toward selfish ambitions. Unfortunately, this can lead to consequences and trouble that can last throughout our lives.

Sin always has it’s consequences and when we do not submit ourselves to serve the Lord, we spend an eternity paying for them. Which is why God sent His son to pay the penalty for our sin on a cross. We don’t have to pay the penalty any longer and can enjoy a long blessed life in Him.

Many think that serving the Lord is restrictive and binding. Yet God has promised that if we turn to Him, we can live a full life. In fact, he reiterates the keys to a good life and compares it to those who pursue evil in their lives.

Scripture

Whoever desires to love life and see good days, let him keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit; let him turn away from evil and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it. For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their prayer. But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.” 1 Peter 3:10–12 (ESV)

God’s desire is for us to watch what we say, turning from evil and seeking peace with others. When we do so, He watches over the lives of those who live rightly and He is always available for them to call on Him. In other words, He will go with us through life to provide His presence, provision, power, and guidance when we serve Him.

So trust Him with your life and walk according to the precepts of God’s Word and you too will love life and see good days. You will enjoy life to the fullest when you fully commit yourself to Him! If not, the consequences of sin await.

It begins with Christ!

If you don’t know Christ as your savior, it all begins with the first step. Committing your life to serve Him is the greatest decision you will make in your life! Finally, for more information on serving the Lord: CLICK HERE!
