It’s hard to believe I resigned from my ministry position over a month ago! It seems like it has been only a few days, yet it also seems like it was months ago. Regardless, it has been a good few weeks to rest, spend time with family, pray, and prepare for the next season in our lives. Thank you for coming along with us on the journey!

So many things have happened over the past few weeks that encouraged us in this journey. Additionally, God has provided supernaturally with unbelievable answered prayers. It has boosted our faith and confidence that God is working on our behalf during uncertainty. God is so good.

Clearing Up Some Rumors! 😉

Let me get some things out of the way! No, I did not leave the ministry. No, I did not have a failure. No, I did not get fired. No, I didn’t have someplace else to go! Yes, I did feel the prompting of the Spirit, and yes, it was in His timing. (Whew!)

Now that I have that off my chest, I wanted to update you on the Brodricks and what God is doing in our lives and ministry.

Now for the updates. (Let’s start with deer hunting, of course!)

I had the privilege of spending some time in the woods to deer hunt and came away with two does. Along with family who hunted, we have plenty of deer to fill the freezer and eat for the following year. As a bonus, spending time outside in the woods was amazing, praying and decompressing my mind, heart, and spirit. It is always therapeutic for me to be outdoors!

Time for fun with Jack! Our 70lb 7-month-old toddler!

Friends are such a blessing…

Friends have been such an incredible blessing to us from the beginning. Many have texted, called, emailed, and sent messages of encouragement, prayers, and cheering us on to our “next.” It is humbling that so many would take time out of their day to let us know that they were praying and expressing their love. Friends always lighten our burden, and we are grateful for that.

Thank you to many who have called, texted, messaged, and connected with us. We are grateful to you. Your love for us is cherished, and your generosity humbles us.

The Farmhouse…

We put the house up on the market this past weekend and had three offers by Tuesday. All three were above our asking price!

This house was a dream for us, and we had plans to retire here. However, we know that God will provide for us as we step forward in faith and trust him. He is the God who takes care of us because He promised He would do so. In the end, it is not about the size of the house, the brand of the clothes and cars, nor the amount of money we carry, but about the one who gave His all for us. He will provide what we need!

In the Interim….

While we have an idea about what we will do next, we have committed to assisting a small rural church in helping get back on its feet. Nyree has led this church to accomplish amazing things, and the community is starting to respond to the outreach. Seeing God use her leadership abilities to guide them to health has been remarkable. No one else I would rather go on the journey of life with than Nyree!

I am praying that God would open the doors of opportunity for me to preach, teach or train in churches across our state during this interim. I have a heart for assisting and partnering with pastors and churches to become healthy and effective in their local communities. If I can serve churches and pastors in any way, I hope to have the opportunity.

I am currently assisting two churches and their teams toward a healthy ministry future. It is always amazing to see God help churches make the turn and become all that they were designed to be in the first place! God is doing amazing things in the body of Christ, and we want to be in the middle of it!

Prayer Requests…

  • Pray that God would give us wisdom, insight, and understanding as we walk by faith in Him!
  • Pray with us that God will strengthen us as we take steps to move toward His will for our lives.
  • Pray that God would provide as we make financial decisions concerning housing and income sources.
  • Pray that God would open doors of opportunity for ministry that aligns with our heart and calling.

First Conclusion:

Finally, we want to say a huge THANK YOU to each one of our friends and family who have been so encouraging to us. We are grateful for the relationships we have the privilege of serving alongside in ministry and life. You have been so good to us. Even better than we deserve!

We love and appreciate you and believe in the best in each of your lives. God is up to something, and we look forward to how God will use each one of you to accomplish His will! The best is yet to come for His church!

Second Conclusion:

Well, never mind, I can’t think of anything else now. I guess there will be more to come later!

Nyree and I love you all and look forward to connecting with you soon!
