It is no secret that one of my favorite things to do is to see some of the amazing places in nature.  The enjoyment of nature was put in my DNA early on in life. My grandparents took me camping and fishing, enjoying the natural world around us. Consequently, these memories remind me, there are many places still to be experienced in God’s creation.

(The picture in the heading is one I took at one of the favorite places that I have visited!)

These experiences also remind me that God in his infinite power, knowledge, and wisdom created the natural world around us.  Not only are we to enjoy what He has done, but it is a constant reminder of the power and presence of an almighty God. As a result, I have found myself in awe of the beauty that came from a creative God!

It is God’s creative power that is witnessed in creation, which also preserves, redeems, and resurrects.

Scripture:

…having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his great might Ephesians 1:18–19 (ESV)

As a result, when I consider all of the light, power, and energy that the sun produces and the innumerable stars I think of the greatness of God.  Because He created all of the natural world that surrounds us without any effort at all!  The Psalmists said:

By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, and by the breath of his mouth all their host.” Psalm 33:6 (ESV)

The same God that created all things with a word is the same God who has the ability to preserve!

He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power.” Hebrews 1:3 (ESV)

The Power of God in The Cross!

God’s creative power was demonstrated at the cross and in the resurrection. Jesus defeated Satan, conquered death, and eradicated the penalty for sin! Because of this, the gospel of Jesus Christ, God’s son, compels believers to join Paul in saying,

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.” Romans 1:16 (ESV)

Because of what God has accomplished through Jesus, I experience a new life.  The world around me is a constant reminder that He is present and active in my life.  As a result, I can have confidence that he will continue to be with me in all the situations of life.

You too can trust Him with your life.  He can transform any situation and make the worst of situations, beautiful!  He is still creating and recreating for His glory and our good!

Commit your life to Him and see what He can do to give you peace in your heart! May creation remind you that God loves you and has the power to work in your life!

Blessings,

Chad
